[.mu] - Registry Outage (Outage)

    The registry is experiencing intermittent outages again. We are monitoring the situation with them.

    Any updates to .mu domains may fail depending on the intermittence. We will retry failed actions as soon as the service becomes available again.

    All services are back to normal.


    [23 Aug 2023]

    The outage is still ongoing with the .mu registry. We currently didn't receive any ETA from them as to when the issue will be resolved on their side.

    .mu Domain name still cannot be updated during the outage.

    They have assured us that no domain name will expire or be suspended during the outage period as long as payment is done on time, however we still cannot register new domain names nor do any updates on them.

    There's a general outage of the .mu Registry ongoing since the 17th of August 2023.


    As such, the following services are down for every .mu domain name : 

    1. WHOIS Lookup
    2. Registrations
    3. Renewals
    4. Restorations
    5. Name Server Updates

    For now, DNS delegation doesn't seem to be impacted.

    We have already raised support requests to the registry.

     

    We are closely monitoring the situation and we will keep you posted as soon as we get further information from them.
